David Wamalwa Wekwanya

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of David Wamalwa Wekwanya. Former Assistant Election Officer, Lurambi Constituency, Kakamega County, which occurred on 17/05/2022, after a short illness.

Beloved husband of Lilian Machuma Wamalwa. Son of Everlyn Nekhumicha Wekwanya. Father of Jemimah Julian Wamalwa,Valarie Reyne Wamalwa and Talia Melissa Wamalwa. Cousin of Edwin, Emmanuel, Titus, Gilbert, Oscar, Benjamin and Godfrey among others. Nephew of Rodgers, Martin, John, Maurice, Eunice, Judith, Beatrice and Petronilah, among others. Grandson of Julian Nelima. Son-in-law Geofrey Barasa and Catherine Barasa. Brother-in-law to Philis, Betty, Joan, Ignatious,Anthony and Daniel.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kanduyi, near M-Big Petrol Station.

Harambee was held on Tuesday 24/05/2022 at his home. The body is lying at Lifecare Mortuary – Bungoma.

The cortege leaves Lifecare Hospital Mortuary on Thursday to his home. Funeral service will be at International Growth Ministries (IGM) field along Sunrise Road, on Friday 27/05/2022, from 8.00am and burial at his home in Kundanyi near M-BiG Petrol Station, Bungoma.
