Doris Nkinga Kubai Mukiira

1946 – 2023

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the Mukiira’s, announce the prqmotion to glory of Mrs. Doris Nkinga Kubai (Mama Kaari), on 18th April, 2023.

Doris was the daughter of the late Persius Njagi M’Raaria and Beatrice Igoki Njagi.

Beloved wife to Fred Kubai Mukiira.

Sister to Riungu, Bessy, Hellen, Kamunde, Njue, the late Igoji, Micheni, Sofia & Kenneth.

Sister-in-law to the late Gerald & the late Judith, the late Birichia & the late Edith, Rev. (Rtd) Kabii & the late Joyce, the late Muthoni, Mwangi, Mutwiri, the late Kanyua, Njagi, Astred, Gatune, Kaaria & Njeri.

Mother to Joyce Karimi, Lucy Mukiira, Nancy Mukiira, Gloria Kubai, Colin Munene, Kendi Mukiira & Wanja Kubai. Mum-in-love to Micheni, Ondhowe, Amalemba & Jane.

Grandmother to Larvene, Gerry, Pinkie, Ceci, Nyawira, Mutugi, Winnie, Tunu, Shammah, Lloyd, Nkatha, Lakeisha, Kubai Jr., among others. Great-grandmother to Brian, lmellah, Fabiola,Verena, among others. Loving aunt to many.

Funeral arrangements are going on at the family home in Kahawa West (opposite Farmers Choice), Kiriani and on Whatsapp platform.

A memorial service will be held on 26th April, 2023 at the PCEA – Kahawa Station (along Northern Bypass), from 4.00pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary on 28th April, 2023 for a funeral service to be held at the PCEA – Kiriani Church at 10.00am. Thereafter, burial will take place at the family home in Kiriani Village, Chogoria, Maara Constituency.

2nd Corinthians 5:8 — “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
