Dorothy Mumbi Makenzi

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dorothy Mumbi Makenzie which occurred on 18th October, 2019 after a long illness.

Daughter of the late William Muthoka and Susan Mwelu. Wife of Joseph Maundu Makenzi. Mother of Lilian, the late Mwikali, Nthamba, Mwanza, Mueke and Mbithe. Grandmother of Maundu Masua, Kavindu, Mwelu, Annita, Ndunge, Caro, Kalewa, Nduku, Bridgit, Mumo, Muuo, Mutheu and Allan. Great grandmother of Joy. Sister of Esther, Muema, Charles, Grace, Justina, Ndeti, Mumbi, late Rhoda, late Kasyula and the late Mutunga. Sister in-law of Kimetu Makenzie, Katunge, Musyoki, Makenzie, Ruth Mathuli, J.P Makenzi (Director of Makenzi School, Tala), Professor Paul Makenzi (Egerton), Rose Ingala, Michael Makenzi, Timothy Mwamisi among others. Mother in-law of Peter Mativo, Francis Sila, Pastor Mamu and Lucy Mwanza.

Friends and Relatives are meeting daily at her home Mumbuni Village and Kenchick Pipeline Stage from 6:00pm.

A fundraiser will be held on 24th October,2019 at Kenchick- off Pipeline Stage starting 6:00pm.

The cortege leaves Machakos Funeral Home on 26th October, 2019 at 8:00am for burial at her home Mumbuni village, Kalama Sub-County, Machakos County.

Dorothy, we loved you and we will truly miss you. Rest in peace, Amen.
