Dorothy Wanjiru Muriuki

It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden demise of Dorothy Wanjiru Muriuki (Ms. Muriuki) former director of ECD Kirinyaga County and former Principal St. Mary Magdaline Girls Thigingi. Which occurred at Embu Level 5 Hospital, on 31st October, 2019.

Daughter of the late Duncan Kingangi Kanyi and the late GraceWanjiku kingangi.Wife of Mr. Simon Mbogo Muriuki (Land Surveyor, Embu). Mother of Philomena Wairimu (Embu), David Kinyua (MTRH, Eldoret), Kelvin Muchangi (1 Acre Fund, Rongo) and Elias Murimi (JKUAT). Sister of Madrine Muthoni Nthiga (Embu), James Njogu (Kirinyaga), Alphan Kago (Difathas), Major (rtd) Peter Kingangi (Director New Junior Campus, Nairobi), Catherine Njoki Kingangi (Moi University, Eldoret), Thomas Gachoki (Nairobi), Serah Wangu Kingangi (Kirinyaga), Josiah Ndugo (Gakoigo), Willy Karinga Kingangi (University of Eldoret). Daughter-in-law of the late Julius Mbogo Kabiru and Margret Njoki Mbogo. Mother-in-law of Gladys Waithira Njoroge and Nell Mukoma Otini. Sister-in-law of Esther Wanjiku, Alphina Wangui, Nicera Muthoni, Charity Warigia, Francis Njogu, Nicasius Kabito and Peter Ngure. Grandmother of many.

Family and friends are meeting at all Saints Cathedral on Tuesday 5th November 2019 from 5.00 pm – 8.00pm only and at her home in Kithangari village Kianjokoma daily.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral home on Friday 8th November, 2019 at 8:00 am. The funeral service will be held on the same day at ACK Trinity Church Kianjokoma, Embu County, thereafter she will be interred at her home in Kithangari village.
