Douglas Claudio Opondo Ngoya (DC)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Douglas Claudio Opondo Ngoya formerly of Chemelil Sugar Co. Ltd. on 18th December 2018.

Husband of Cllr. Keziah Opondo. Son of late Raphael Ngoya and late Priscah Ngoya. Brother of Alice Oire, late Phoebe, Rebecca, Felicia, Kepha amongst others. Beloved father of late Benta, Snr. Chief Nicholas Opondo, Betty Mboga, Hon. Maureen Opondo-Otiang’ (MCA Chemelil/Tamu Ward), John Otieno, Janet Ochieng’, June Oluoch, Zipporah (Shama), Edwin Omondi, Fred Opondo, Penina Opondo and Elizabeth Opondo (Equator Bottlers).

Brother-in-law of Lazaro Majiwa amongst others. His sons-in-law are: Amos Mwalo (CBK, Nrb), Eng. James Otiang’ (Lightpack) amongst others. Daughters-in-law are: Milcah Ochieng’ amongst. Grandfather of Joseph Magunga (KDF Gilgil), Aphleen Ochieng’, Julia Mboga, Dr. Dan Owino amongst others.

The cortege leaves JOOTRH Mortuary on Friday 11th January 2019 for a requiem Mass at HTCA Lela at 1P.M. Thereafter it will proceed to his home in Lela village for an overnight vigil.

He will be laid to rest at his home in Lela on Saturday 12th January 2019.
