Dr. Carey Francis Onyango

We are deeply sad to announce the tragic death of our beloved brother and friend Dr. Carey Francis Onyango former lecturer Maseno University, Former Executive Director Centre for Multiparty Democracy CMD – K and Consultant at Integrated Development Network (IND) which occurred at Mater Hospital on 28th June 2018.

Dr. Carey (CFO) was involved in a tragic road accident along Naivasha- Nakuru highway and was rushed to Mater hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

CFO was the son of the late Dishon Rapemo Awino and Mama Elizabeth Apiyo Rapemo of Kawino sub location, Kasipul sub county, Homabay county. Loving husband of Sabina Adhiambo. Grandson  of the late Awino Isaka and late Mama Julia and Doris Mumbo. Son in law of Jaduong Joseph Odhiambo and Mama Jane Akoth of Gem, Yala. Brother of Javan Odhiambo and Florence Akeyo.

Nephew of David Nyaolo, Mama Wilkister Ndire, Samuel Odego, Daniel Walo, Ogao and Kunga Awino. Cousin of Samuel, Musa Ndire, Caleb, Evans, Sammy, Joan, Nancy, Apiyo, Atieno, Adhiambo, Boss, Ruth Walloh and many more.

The body is currently lying at Mater Hospital Mortuary.

Funeral arrangements are currently going on at Lake view hotel Kisumu, CMD-K team at United Club and at Garden square restaurant Nairobi From Monday to Friday.

There will be a fundraising to offset medical and funeral expenses on 10th July 2018 at Cardinal Otunga Plaza as from 5pm. Mpesa contributions can be channelled through Paybill no. 987359 a/c name Senders name.

The body will leave Mater Hospital Mortuary on 13th July 2018 and burial on Sunday 15th July 2018 at Kawino village, Kasipul Oyugis next to Kamuga Pr. School.
