Dr. Davis Wacheru Wachira

It is with great sadness that we humbly announce the sudden demise of Dr. Davis Wacheru Wachira (formerly of Ministry of Health, KEMRI Research Centre) on 17th May 2022, after a short illness at the King David Hospital in Ngong. He hails from Nyeri County, Mukurwe-ini Sub-county, Mukurwe-ini Central Ward.

He was the son _of the late Nelson Wachira Githinji and Beth Wambiu Wachira.

He was a loving husband to Lucia Muthoni Wacheru of Riara Group of Schools. Loving father to Mr. Ryan Wachira of Strathmore University; Ernest Nderitu of Rockfields Senior School, Kajiado; Elaine Wambiu and Justin Githinji, both of Lizar School, Naivasha.

He was a beloved brother to Wamuyu and Mwaniki, Githinii, Wakarindi and Kinyua, Wangari, Maina, Wangui, Muthoni and Githinji, Mwihaki, Njoki and Wachera. Step-brother to Matu, Wamuyu and Gicingiri.

He was the son-in-law to the Late John Nderitu Wagura and Mrs. Eunice Wambui Nderitu. He was a brother-in-law to Mary, Agatha, Teresa, Wangui, Wagura, Milka, Nyambura and Kirigo. He was a loving uncle and cousin to many.

Friends and family are meeting at his home in Hilltop Road, NgongVet and All Saints Cathedral (Nairobi City) today evening and tomorrow Tuesday, 24 May, 2022; and also at his parent’s home at Kiroro Farm, daily.

The cortege leaves Jamii Mortuary in Karatina on Thursday, 26th May, 2022 for a service at Gathitu PCEA Church, next to Mukurweini Boys High School, Kiangoma Village, from 11.00am, followed by burial at his farm in Kiroro / Mutitu, Mukurweini.
