Dr. Francis Wanjohi Gachara

1945 – 2018

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr. Francis Wanjohi Gachara (Stadium School Nyeri and Seattle, USA) of Kairuthi Village, Othaya Nyeri County, which occurred on 6th December 2018.

Son to the late Gachara wa Kanyi and the late Murugi wa Gachara. Beloved husband to Lectisia Wangui Wanjohi. Father of the late Alice Murugi, Timothy Gachara- TG (Mathenge TTI), Humphrey Mbugua (KTTC), Dr. Priscilla Njeri Gitimu (Youngstown State University – USA), Dr. Lucy Wanjiku Gochaga (USIU), the late Kanyi and James Kimani (JAPAK-GIS). Father in love to Mary Wambura Gachara, Margaret Njoki Mbugua, Dr. Abel Gitimu Waithaka (USA), Daniel Gichaga Waruta and Sarah Wamaitha Kimani. Grandfather to Lectisiah, Francis, Prince, Zuriel, Dorcas, Esther, Ruth, Hannah, Steve, Ebenezer, Gracerlerty, Ray, Ryan and Randy. Brother of late Kanyi Gachara, the late Wanjiku Kaniaru, the late Waburi Gachara, the late Duncan Thirikwa and James Muga.

Friends and relatives are meeting at their Ruring’u residence daily for prayers and funeral arrangements Prayer sessions will also be conducted on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th December starting from 4.30 pm at Varsity Ville Estate, Ruiru.

The cortege will leave Outspan Hospital Funeral Home on Wednesday 19th December 2018 at 8.30 am Funeral service will be held at his home in Kairuthi, Othaya at 11,00 am followed by the burial at the same venue.
