Dr. Joseph Karanja Mburu (JK)

It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of Dr. Joseph Karanja Mburu (JK), which occurred on 23rd May, 2023. Formerly of Coffee Research Institute.

Husband to Lucy Njoki Karanja. Father to Ann Njeri Karanja (University of Embu), Lilian Wacuka Karanja (Container Design Africa), Erastus Mburu Karanja (PR & Communication Strategist), Evelyn Waithira Karanja (Daystar University).

Brother to Samuel Njuguna, Mary Wanjiru Ng’ang’a, Joseph Ngigi, Joyce Wanjiku, Johnson Njoroge, Lucy Mumbi, Francis Gichuho, Simon Ng’ang’a and Eunice Wambui.

Brother-in-law to James Ruchuiya and Eunice Wanjiku.

Friend and relatives are meeting at his home daily in Kahawa Sukari, from 7.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching Referral Funeral Home on Wednesday 31st May, 2023 at 8:00am. Thereafter, a funeral service at PCEA – Huriangu Church, Kibichoi Parish. The burial service will be held at his home in Gatiiguru Village, Kibichoi Sub-location, Githunguri in Kiambu County.
