Dr. Levitan Omondi Odhiambo

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr. Levitan Omondi Odhiambo, Senior Medical Officer, County Government of Kiambu, on 21st June, 2022 at The Nairobi Hospital.

Dr. Levitan was the first-born child of Mr. James Odhiambo of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, Livestock and Fisheries, County Government of Kisumu; and the late Pamela Akinyi Odhiambo. Loving husband to Dr. Ruth Nduta Omondi of Kiambu Level Five Hospital and doting father to Tyler Nolan Omondi. Son-in-law to Joseph Ngunyi Kamau and Lydia Njeri Ngunyi. Levitan was the loving brother to Hempstone Odhiambo, Collins Odhiambo and Sammy Odhiambo.

Grandson to the late Henry Samo, Mama Gladys Samo, the late Brigita Samo and the late Joyce Samo. Loving nephew to Margaret Oguta, the late Eng. James Samo, Caroline Oyoo, Grace Ondiek, Philip, Winfred, the late Eric, Jane Odiwuor, the late Mildred Oduor, Caren, the late Eunice, Roseline Oguna, David, Joab, Grace Okello, Anne Ocholla, Ogara-Okech, Rowlands, Dr. Ponge and many others in an amazing extended family. Levitan was a doting cousin and uncle to many in an amazing extended family.

Funeral planning meetings are being held daily at his residence in Akila II Estate. From 6.00p.m to 8.00p.m.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 29th June, 2022 from 2.00pm, at the ACK St. Paul’s Church, South C, Nairobi.

The cortege will depart Lee Funeral Home on 1st July, 2022 for Ginga Valley Village, Gem Sub-county, Siaya. Levitan will be laid to rest on Saturday, 2nd July, 2022 at the family home in Ginga Valley Village, Gem Sub-county – Siaya. COVID-19 protocols will be adhered to in line with Government guidelines.
