Dr. Robert Kihara Mwaniki

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Dr. Robert Kihara Mwaniki born in September 1971 in Njigari, Othaya. His death occurred on 16th December 2022. He was an ENT Surgeon at Kenyatta National Hospital and other hospitals.

Beloved son to Mwalimu Alfred Mwaniki Kihara and Elizabeth Wambui Mwaniki. Brother to Dr. Moses Ndahi (Director IPS ), Serah Wanjiru (Director Ushirika Martian), Dr. Alice Wangui (Canada), Jane Karungari (Ushirika Martian), Titus Wachira (Safaricom), Irene Gathoni (Ushirika Martian), Zipporah Njoki (Johnson and Johnson Canada), Keziah Waithera (Lawyer Canada).

Husband to Esther Wanjiku Kihara, previously lived and separated with Claire Muthoni Gituku. Father to Elizabeth Wambui (University of Nairobi), Natasha Wanjiru (Mary Hill), Fred Mwai Kihara and Frank Wanyoike Kihara.

Son in law to John Wanyoike and Lucy Njecuri. He was brother-in-law to Dr. Lucy Ndahi, Dr. Paul Njoroge, Prof. Elijah Kiarie, Pastor Joseph Irungu (CFF), Mercy Ngima (Safaricom) and the late George Kibathi. He was uncle, cousin, and grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Public Service Club Nairobi and Murera Ruiru from 5.00pm.

Memorial service will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Wednesday, 28th December 2022 at 10.00am -12.00pm.

The Cortege leaves Kenyatta National Hospital Funeral Home on 29th December 2022 at 8.00am to Murera Ruiru where he will be laid to rest.
