Dr. Rosephine Nyiva Mwinzi

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dr. Rosephine Nyiva Mwinzi – Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Technical University of Mombasa, on the 3rd May, 2022, at Aga Khan Hospital – Mombasa.
Beloved spouse to Samuel Omogi. Devoted mother to Nikecha Mumbanu. Daughter to Dr. Muusya Mwinzi and Dr. Regina Mwinzi. Sister to Joseph and Doreen. Sister-in-law to Emmanuel and Diana, Noreen, Naftali and Zandila.
Cousin to Nzambi and Maithya, Mumbesa and Muema, Mutinda and Alice, Vundi and Naomi and others. Aunt to Ashley, Lynne, Natasha, Natalie, Allan, Amos and Noreen. Great auntie to Michael Jnr. Granddaughter to the late Joseph Kaume and Rose Wango, Mwinzi Nzuki and Esther Mbete. Niece to Michael and Peninah, the late Colleta, Advocate Nzuki, Onesmus and Mwendwa and others.
Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements daily at 5:30pm at KAFOCA Hotel – Kitui Town and at Fellowship Baptist Church in Tudor, Mombasa.
The cortege leaves Aga Khan Funeral Home – Mombasa, on Thursday 12th May, 2022 to Ithookwe Show Ground, Kitui for the funeral service on Friday 13th May, 2022 at 9:00am.

This is almost two years too late but I’m truly sorry to hear about Rosie’s death. We were in high school together, and she was a great friend to me. She had a fabulous laugh, and an amazing singing voice, and such a big, kind heart. Rest in peace Rosie. You were so loved.
