Dr. Stephen Njoroge Gachie

It is with deep sorrow and the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Dr. Stephen Njoroge Gachie that occurred on 8th June 2019.

Loving husband of Wachuka Gathigia Njoroge, beloved son of John and Gladwell Gachie and son-in-law of the late Mariga and Abishag Wang’ombe. Father of Melissa and Damian Muindi, Alvin John Gachie and Isaac Mariga. Brother of Ruth Wariara, Mercie Wanjiru, Margaret Wanjira, Anthony Gathu, Richard Kiruri and the late Grace Wangui.

Brother-in-law of Mercy Gathu, Yoko Enomoto, Baru and Wangui Wang’ombe, Ronald and Wanjugu Bukusi, James and Wanjiku Kaniaru. Doting `guka’ of Amelia Kavete, Jerome Maingi and Zaina Wachuka Muindi, and the beloved ‘Uncle Steve’ of Kwasi, Natasha, Peter, Tevri, Gachie, Makena, Rita, Joy, Marig wa Baru, Wambui, Wambaire, Matu, Jordana, Nandi, Mariga wa Thoithi, Andrew, Bart. Ndung’u and Mark Mariga.

Meetings will be held today Thursday 13th June at St. Andrew’s Church Nairobi at 5:00 Pm.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Mortuary on Saturday 15th June at 8.00am for a Church service at his home on Marula Lane – Karen starting at 10.00am, as per Steve’s wishes. Followed by cremation at Langata cemetery at 2.00pm.
