Duncan Mwangi Waweru

1982 -2023

It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Duncan Mwangi Waweru of Rafiki Pikipiki Spares, Kisii Town, which occurred on 25th February, 2023 while undergoing treatment at The Coptic Hospital, Ngong Road – Nairobi.

Beloved husband to Monica Nyambura Murimi. Father to adorable children: Philip Prince Waweru and Peter Ray Waweru.

Son to Philip Waweru Gathungu and Mary Waweru of Bishop Muge (Mwalimu Estate), Kitale. Son-in-law to Peter Mwangi Murimi and Beth Muthoni Gakuya. Brother to Joseph Gathungu (Jimmy), Anne Njambi Maleche, Jayne Wanjiru Waweru and Eunice Waithira Waweru.

Nephew to James Munene, Agnes Nyarwai, the late Grace Ndegwa, the late John Mwai, Richard Githui, Peter Karanja, Rev. Onesmus Weru, Bishop Geoffrey Muraguri, Joseph Maina, Pastor Moffat Kariuki, Eunice Wanjiru, Tabitha Wambui and Dorcas Njoki.

Loving cousin to Jane Bruno, Isaac, Dan Ndegwa (Tune Motors, Kitale), Nahashon Ndegwa (Munene Auto Spares, Makutano), Wambui, Aggy, Mary, Shiro, Danny, Grace, Pst. Zack, Kuria, jimmy, Njambi and many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his father’s home at Mwalimu Estate, Kitale for prayers and burial preparations from 5.00pm.

He will be laid to rest on Friday 3rd March, 2023. The cortege leaves Cherengani Funeral Home (Kitale) at 6:00am for a service and interment at the burial site at Kimila Farm near Hill Primary School.
