Daughter of the late Meshack Odera Abong’o, Seta Akech and Penina Akinyi of Gem Umiru, Yala. Wife of the late Paul Barrack Obara. Daughter-in-law of the late Simeon Odera, late Addah Odera and late Apelles Odera. Sister-in-law of late G.Z. Owiti, Mary Owiti, Pamela Owiti, late Nashon and Dorcas Ouma, late Dr Jackton and Jane Muruka, Profs. Washington and Lucia Omondi and late Ibrahim and Hildah Onyango. Mother of Addah & the late Francis Odhiambo, Joseph & Rispa Ayugi, Jane & late Morris Oloo, Emmanuel & Betty Odhiambo, James & Joy Oduor, Adonijah & Doreen Oiro, Rose & Kennedy Atulo and Josephine & Daniel Madalanga. Grandmother of Margaret, Jackline, Rose, Meshack, Paul Odhiambo, Michael, Susan, Dorothy, Mary, Cosmas, Paul Ayugi, late Kevin, Brenda, Paul Oloo, Nancy, Paul Omondi, Linda, Caroline, Lavenda, Shit-leen, Jesse and Precious Paula. Loving aunty, great grandmother and great great grandmother of many. Sister of late Jephither, the late Oyola, the late Aineah, Raphael, Mariam, Helen, Ondiege and John. Nyawana of late Adonijah and Joice Oiro, the late Cosmas and Mary Ogunyo, the late Zackaria and Anjelina Aketch, late Alfayo Sang and Jane K. Sandagi, Rev. The cortege will leave Avenue Mortuary on Friday 25th August, 2017 at 9.00 a.m. The funeral service will be held on the same day at St. Andrews ACK Church Huluwinu at 2.00pm.The burial ceremony will take place at her home in Huluwinu Village, Maliera Sub-location, Gem, Siaya County on 26th August, 2017 at 9.00 a.m. Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Gem. There will be fundraising meetings on 18/8/2017 at Mombasa Memorial Cathedral, Nairobi Woodiey Estate house No. 41 on 19/8/2017 and at the family home in Gem on 21/08/2017 to defray hospital bills and meet funeral expenses all beginning at 5.30 p.m. Friends and family who wish to make contributions may do so to Pay bill No. 950490.
