With deep sorrow but humble acceptance, we announce the transition to Glory of our dear Mother/Cucu/Maitu – Elder Beatrice Wahu Maara which occurred on Sunday 5th October, at the age of 90 years.
Dearly beloved daughter of the late Elder Jonathan Maara Kihang6 and late Julia Njeri Maara. Sister of Lennah Wairimu and the later Leah Wanjiku, Edward Reagan Mbugua, Ruffus Mutuma, Grace Wambui Wangai, Dickson Njuguna, Bernard Kironji, Josiah Kagethe, Margaret Wanjiru, David Waigi, Penninah Wanjiru.
Beloved mother of the late Jane Njeri, Hon. George J Maara of Limuru & Margaret, Jennifer Kamau. Grace Wambui, Peggy & Robert Authier and the late Joseph Kamau.
Beloved grandmother of Wahu and Evans Gathimba, Muriuki and Wanjiku Muriuki, Faith, Chris Mukiri, Dennis and Karen Kinyanjui, Wahu (Maara), Angela Murugi, Wahu (Kamau), Wangui, Rorie. Great grandmother of GG, Maara (Gathimba), Maara (Muriuki), Zuri, Njeri, Ethan,Theo, Mbula. A cousin and aunt to many.
Family and Friends are meeting daily at her Ongata Rongai residence at 5.00 pm.
There will be a Memorial service on Sunday the 12th October at PCEA Macedonia Church, Ongata Rongai at 2.00 pm.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Tuesday 14th October at 8.00am. Funeral Service will be held at P.C.E.A Mother Church, Ngecha Location – Kiambu County. She will be laid to rest at the Maara Family Cemetery in Ngecha. Limuru.
