Elder John Osoro Ombese

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved father Elder John Osoro Ombese of Nyanchwa Village, Kisii County, who went to be with the Lord on April 9th 2023 after a long illness bravely borne.

Beloved husband to the late Agnes Nyanganyi. Loving father to Ken Nyoka (Joyce), Tom Nyaundi (Hon. Irene, Dr. Gwaro), the late Fred Nyakagwa (Judy), Jacqueline Mongina (Ngayu), Gilbert Mogambi (Emily) and Dr. Beatrice Osoro (Richard Perrault).

Son of the late Francis Ombese and the late Sabera Kerubo. Brother to the late Makone, the late Mong’ina, the late Nyandwaro, Moraa, Gesare, Onchari and Kebati. Step sibling to Getega, the late Jeria, Monica, Charani, Oundu, Nyamwaro, Irene and Nyachae.

Son-in-law to Jeremiah Oigo and Birita Mongina. Brother-in-law to Nyarega, Nyamweya, the late Matara„ the late Jerusha, Mary, Henry, Jane, Sobu, Nyarango ,Aska, Janet and Nyabwabu.

Semo to Meshack Nyamwaya (USA), Joseph Nyakundi and the late Lawrence Nyaosi.

Korera to Ogeche, Mirithu, the late Oigara, Ngari, Muma and Perrault.

Grandfather to Frank, the late Job, Steve, Sam, Kerubo, Ombese, Mathew, Natalie, Imogene, Henry, Muthoni, Ngari, Osoro, Yvette, Yvonne, Nadia, Bradley, Austin and Isabelle. Doting great grandfather to Ella, Aggie and Marley. Uncle, friend and mentor to many.

Funeral church service will be held on Wednesday, April 19th 2023 at 12.00pm at Nairobi Central SDA Church Milimani (Maxwell), thereafter followed by a fundraising at LMS- Simba hall in the same compound.

Final service will be held on April 21st 2023 at 8.00am at the Nyanchwa Adventist Teachers College grounds followed by interment at his home in Nyanchwa.

Friends and family are gathering on Monday, April 17th 2023 and Tuesday April 18th 2023 at Maxwell LMS at 5.00pm and at his home in Nyanchwa Kisii daily.
