Elder Samson Onderi Ombongi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Elder Samson Onderi Ombongi, which occurred on 6th September, 2019.

Son of the late Ombongi Mbaka and Mogoi Ombongi of Gesabakwa village, Bomachoge Borabu constituency. Beloved husband of Mama Teresa Bochere. Son-in-law of the late Nyaito and Sarah, Mogute and Nyangena. Adored father of Alice Mogoi, the late Joyce Nyapara, Richard Ombongi — businessman-Nrb, Dr. Henry Kinya of Rongo University, Josephine Gekonge of Matutu Adventist School, Jane Moraa of Menyenya High School, George Morara — Nrb, Elder Solomon asese, and Geoffrey Mogusu of KERRA, Narok region. Brother of the late Mong’are Oseko, the late David Marube, Mocheche Mwamba, Obiero, the late Timothy, the late Mekubo, Makambi, and others.

Cousin of Z Ayienda, N. Karancha, B. Okwena, P. Onyancha and Omoke. Uncle of Dr. Ken Omoke (UON), Hon. Stephen Kengere, Orangi Oseko, Mayianda Oseko, Kanisa, Nyabonyi, the late Joel, Daniel, Ombongi, Teresa, Tom, Mary, Naftal, Ontweka, Richard Ontweka, Kennedy, Milka, the late Joseph, Keya, Paphone, Zekariah, Matongos, Nyaitos, Mogoisamong others. In-law of Tom Mogoi, Nuhu, Misiani, Isaiah, Nyangena, Onderi Ombongi the late Rambeka among others. Father-in-law of Jeremiah Okioga, Pr. Richard Nyakego, Ben Morang’a, Stephen Nyakundi, Hellen Mokune, Rose Akeyo, Stella Kerebi, Rebecca Nyanchoka, and Phyllis Nyabie.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers at home in Gesabakwa, and Nairobi from 4-7pm

.The main fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, 17th September, 2019 at Garden Square Nairobi from 4pm, and at Mwalimu Hotel in Kisii; the same date and time.

The cortege leaves Hema funeral home on Thursday 19th, September, 2019, and thereafter prayers and funeral at his ancestral home in Gesabakwa on 20th September, 2019.
