It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Elder Simon Gathige Gichia which occurred on Friday 22nd April, 2022.

Son of the late William Gichia Mukeu and the late Hannah Njeri Gichia. Loving husband of Hannah Njeri Gathige.

Brother to the late Harrison Mukeu, the late Beth Kiringa, the late Misheck Gikebe, James Mwaura, the late Hannah Waitherero, Peter Maina Gichia (K.A.G Church, Wanyororo), Mary Wanjiku and Esther Muthoni.

Father to Peter Gichia, Samuel Mwathi, Harrison Mukeu, Jane Wairimu, the late Esther Nduta, John Gathige (C.E.O Ollin Sacco), Beth Wambui, Margret Wanjiru, Lucy Waitherero, Meshack Gitau, Grace Wacuka and Joseph Karuga.

Father-in-law to Esther Njoki, Eunice Wangui, Rosemary Wambui, Josphat Nyagah, Paul Muriuki, Jennifer Wothaya, John Kariuki, Peter Magua, Regina Wangui, Peter Gathiru and Maggie. A Grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting Daily at His home in Kinangop – Kitiri Scheme near Engineer, at his daughter’s home in Thika (Jane Gathige) and at his son’s home in Kerugoya (John Gathige) from 5:00pm for prayers and burial preparation.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati Thika on Friday 29th April, 2022 at 7:00am, for funeral service and burial at his home in Kinangop, near Engineer Town, Nyandarua County.
