It with great sorrow, grief and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Elizabeth Akinyi Odhiambo on Tuesday, 25th April, 2023 after a short illness.

Daughter to the late John Odongo Otweyo and the late Margaret Anyango Osowo of Mur, Alego in Siaya County.

Dear Wife to the Late Samuel Odhiambo Ojonyo of Kano, Kochogo, Ahero, Kisumu County.

Daughter-in-law to the late Simeon Ojonyo and the Late Silivia Anyango.

Beloved Mother to the Late Nicodemus Odhiambo, Kelly Odiek, Yvonne Odhiambo, Margaret Thatcher, Caroline Akoth (Afrostreet Kollektions) and Samuel Ojuang (Sammyro).

Caring grandmother to Tamisha Akinyi, Lwanda Jawar, Zuri Jehlani, Hakeem Philips, Taya Anangwe, Ameerah Philips, Robert Odip, Telo Alubala and Tanilla Thandie.

Loving sister to Michael Otieno, Beryl Achieng (Obeyo), the late Argwings Kodhek, Ishmael Opiyo, the late John Odongo (Ogogo), the late Margaret Akello, the late Alice Akoth (Okito), George Ochieng and Bibiana Atieno Odongo.

Sister-in-law to Jason Oyieko, Elida Opiyo, Erick Muga, James Gichuru among others.

She was a darling niece to Nicodemus Ochieng’ Boka, Catherine Osowo, Barbara Osowo, the late Zablon Otieno (Pro), the late Maryline Akello, Regina Osowo and Christine Osowo “Mum”. Madam Liz was a loving mother to many far and wide.

A fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, 9th May, 2023 from 5.00pm at All Saints Cathedral.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Thursday, 11th May, 2023 at 12.00pm for a funeral service at St. Stephen’s Church Jogoo Road. Thereafter, a night vigil at her house in Maringo Estate, Ruiruaka Crescent, Hse no A20 2477. Burial will be held on Saturday, 13th May, 2023 at her home in Kano Kochogo, Ahero, Kisumu County.
