Elizabeth Amondi Orwa

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the demise of Elizabeth Amondi Orwa (Liz) after she was electrocuted at their house in Migosi estate Kisumu on Friday 10th May, 2019. She was a former student of Lwak Girl’s High School (2018).

Loving daughter of Ishmael Orwa and Florence Miya of Kemri/CDC. Sister of Faith Miriam of Alliance Girls and Emmanuel Joseph of Golden Elite Premier School. Granddaughter of the late Fanuel Jangaya and the late Elizabeth Jangaya of Kisumu Nyahera. Also granddaughter of the late Dickson Miya and Mary Najuma Miya of Fort Ternan, Muhoroni Sub-county.

Niece of Martin Ogot, Orpa Ogot (Leonard Cheshire), Charles Miya, Susan Ombima, the late Hesborn Ojino, Janet Ojino (Maseno Univ), Tobias Okoyo (Muhoroni Success), Christine Mwajuma, Daniel Onyango, Ruth Onyango (Chemelil Sugar) Samuel Miya (African Trade Insurance), Phanice Shimanyula, the late Dickson Oruko, Rebecca Oruko, Aggrey Okore (District Accountant, Muhoroni), Ann Miya (St.Theresa Girls), Bernard Ochieng, Vincent Miya (Dago Thim Sec), Jacqueline Sagina (JOOTRH), Anthony Oduor (Dudi Girls), James Miya, Myllen Atieno, Beatrice Adhiambo, Edith Miya, Frederick Miya (CITAM), Caroline Kariuki (Nairobi Safari Club).

Friends and family are gathering daily at their residence Migosi Estate.

A fundraiser event will be held on Friday 17th May, 2019, at 5.00pm at Ofafa memorial hall along Kakamega road, Kisumu.

The requiem mass will be conducted on Thursday the 23rd May, 2019 at JWC church in carwash from 2.00pm. And thereafter a night vigil at their Migosi residence.

Liz will be laid to rest on Saturday the 25th of May, 2019, at their home in Nyahera, near Obede Secondary School.
