It is with deep sorrow, humility and acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the untimely demise of our family Matriarch Mrs. Elizabeth Karema Riungu of Kiamiriru Village, Mpuri Location, Meru County, which occurred on Thursday 01/12/2022.

Beloved Wife to the late Jacob Riungu. Mother to the late Kiogora, Geoffrey Kathurima (ROO Nyanza – DCI), Kananu, Makena, Kith and Kagendo. Mother-in-law to Hellen and Gitonga.

Sister to the late Muroki, Karimi, the late late Gitonga, Karambu, Nkatha and Kathambi. Auntie to many.

Grandmother to Njoki, Diana, Munene, Mwenda, Kimathi, Bundi, Kawira, Gatwiri, Kirimi, Kendi, Brenda, Jeff and Ethan. Great-grandmother to Murimi and Mark.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kiamiriru Village for Prayers and burial preparations.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Tuesday 13/12/2022 at 9.00am. Funeral service will be held at MCK – Mpuri Church.Thereafter she will be laid to rest at her home in Kiamiriru Village.
