Elizabeth Waigumo Gichohi (Kabaire)
It is with the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our dearest and loving mother, sister and friend Elizabeth Waigumo Gichohi (Kabaire) of Tambaya, Mukurweini Nyeri County which occurred in India on 2nd May 2023 while undergoing treatment.
She was the loving wife to Hon. Atanasio Gichohi Kahaire, MCA Mokurweini West- Ward, Nyeri County.
She was daughter of the late Cosmas Thukti and the late Jane Njoki and daughter in law to the late Antony Kariuki and the late Christine Waigumo.
Mother to Christine Wangui and Martin Kamau. Julia Waniiru, Antony Kariuki, Salim Gitau and Amina Bwika and Rosemary Njeri.
She was sister to Mary Wangari & Steve Kiura, Margaret Wambura & the late John Mwaura,Virginia Wangui, Trizah Murugi & Moses Githaiga, Robert and Ruth Maina, Lucy Wacera, Felister Wakarindi & Leonard Njeru.
She was sister in law to Amos Wabere, the late Julia Mukere, Paul Chiira„ Cyrus Gitonga, Anastacia Njoki, Nicera Njeri and the late Rose Nyambura.
She was a grandma to Shanice, Gil, Elaiza, Njoki and Gavin and a cousin, friend and confidant to many.
Her family and friends are meeting daily at her residence in Nairobi and her Tambaya Mukurweini home from 6.00pm daily.
The cortege shall leave Lee Funeral Home at 6.30 a.m on 12th May, 2023 for a funeral service at Tambaya Secondary Playground in Mukurweini West, Nyeri County starting from 10.00 am and burial thereafter.
Your life was a blessing and your memory a treasure.
Losing a friend like Liz is a big blow.
She was an icon loving all without discrimination. Touched many souls.
