Eng. Gereson Odongo Ochieng
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Eng. Gereson Odongo Ochieng which occurred on Saturday, 5th March 2022, after a heart bypass surgery at the Aga Khan University Hospital-Nairobi.
The late Eng. Ochieng was son to the late Benjelina and Ochieng Ouma. He was husband to Grace Akinyi Ochieng and devoted father to Marsha Lulu (BBC), Janet Atieno (Norway), Ben Otieno (MU) and Robin Omondi (MMU).
He was father-in-law to David Onyango (CABI), Johannes Bolger and Kenny Jansson. Eng, was a loving grandfather to Hugh, Luca, Svea and Zach.
Eng. Ochieng was a brother to Richard Ouma, Eng. Samuel Ochieng, Francis Ochieng, Joseph Ochieng and John Ochieng (TSC). He was son-in-law to the late Meshack and Janet Dawa, and brother-in-law to Florence, Mary, Eunice, Margaret, Clara, Sam and Oluoch Dawa. Eng. Ochieng was nephew to Abednego Abuto,Ambrose Rajoro Ouma and was uncle to Hon Clarkson Otieno Karan former MP of Eala, Fredrick, Ken, Frank, Steve, Vivian among others.
There will be a fundraising meeting on Tuesday, the 15th March 2022, at All Saints Cathedral from 5:30pm.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 16th March 2022, 11am at St. Marks Church, Westlands Nairobi.
Eng. Ochieng will be laid to rest on Friday, 18″ March 2022, at the Ochieng family home in Migingo Kano, Kisumu County.
