It is with great sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Eng. Jared Waudo Wangia of Friends’ Chemist Mumias, which occurred at Kenyatta University, Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH) following a short illness.
Son to the late Thomas and the late Elizabeth Wangia. Loving and caring husband to the late Dr. Christine Ong’ayo Wangia, Senior Lecturer, School of Pharmacy – JKUAT. Father to Petronilla (Diva Communications), Eng. Peter (Chebu Pharmaceutical) Dr. Elizabeth (MoH), Elisha (Microsoft) and Elizabeth (Daystar). Father-in-law to Eva (Faculty at Everett Community College), Eng. Okola (Engineering Ideals) and Francisca (Fran Beauty).
Grandfather to Thomas, Brian, Hellen, Timothy, Chris, Lakeesha, Nathan and Nessiah. Brother to the late Dr. Ruth (the late Dr. Meshack Isiaho), the late Joshua (the late Selina, Refa, Lillian), the late Dr. Habil (Beatrice), the late Charles (Esther, Miriam), the late Wanjala (Kezia), Obadiah (the late Ramona), Dr. Caleb (Dr. Sabina), Boaz (the late Geraldine), Gideon (the late Dr. Benigna), Gamaliel (Dr. Joyce), Adah (Bishop Adoyo), the late Melab (Prof. Situma), Dr. Phillip (Rosalid) (Botswana), Advocate Roselyn (Prof. Moni Wekesa), Malaya (Alice) and Hon. Kulati (Emmy). Beloved uncle and friend to many.
Brother-in-law to the late Adhiambo, the late Amos, the late Tabitha, the late Frieda, Mildred, Hellen, and Solomon. Son-in-law of the late Methusela and the late Doris Odongo of Mulusi Village, Muyundi Sub-Location, Butere.
A memorial service will be held at Ruiru Friends Church on 18/08/2022 from 10.00am.
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi on 19/08/2022, for the burial on 20/08/2022 at his home in Chebuyusi, Navakholo Sub-county, Kakamega County.
