Erastus Mutunga Muriithi

 1933 – 2018

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Erastus Mutunga M’Muriithi who passed on 8th January 2018.

Son of the late M’Muriithi Kairanya and late Ann Kang’oi. Husband of Peris Cangu Mutunga and father of the late Ephantus Gitonga, the late Dickson Miriti, Charles lreri Mutunga (Toronto, Canada), Elizabeth Ntue Mutunga (COMESA, Zambia) and Dr. Nancy Muthoni Mutunga (FEWS NET, East Africa). Father-in-Law of Paskwa Mutunga and grandfather to Michelle Kawira Mutunga and Joanne Kendi Mutunga.

Brother of the late Iruma M’Ragwa, late Karea M’Muthara, Umotho M’Raci, late Kanyua M’Riungu. Brother-in-law of the late Dr. Dunstan lreri, the late Justin Ndiga, late Faith Marangu, Kangai M’Rithaa, Edith Mutegi and Mary Marangu. Uncle of Eustace Micheni, Mutembei Muthara, Charles Kithinji, Late Festus Mugo, Frank Ireri, Kathomi M’Rithaa and Mwende Foster, among others.

The funeral service will take place at the PCEA Chogoria Church, Tharaka Nithi County, starting at 10.00 am on Monday 15th January 2018. Thereafter, the burial will take place at his farm in Iruma.
