It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Esther Adede Obura on 5th October 2019, in Nairobi.

Daughter of the late Mzee Shadrack and Beldina Angado of Nyakach Agoro. Daughter in law of the late Mzee Wilson Angir and the late Mama Salome Bolo. Loving wife of the late Samuel Ben Obura. Loving mother of the late Pamela Obura, Susan Wakiaga, Lillianne Obura (Australia), the late Nabil Obura, the late Thomas Obura, Ismail Obura (USA), Christine Obura (USA), and Ahmad Obura. Mother-in-law of Sam Wakiaga, Jane Obura, Fatima Obura, and Joseph Mlaki.

Nyawana of the late ex-senior chief Semekia Wakiaga and Beldina Wakiaga of Kaswanga, Rusinga Island, Manase Siaji and the late Risper Siaji and Janet Siaji of Gem, Hmida Chouati and Zouhra Chouati of Morocco. Doting grandmother of the late Terrance Obura, Valerie Obura, Richie Obura, Nabil Obura, Pamela Obura, Samuel Ben Obura, Yousseff Obura, Beverly Wakiaga, Thomas Wakiaga, Angel Wakiaga, and Samuel Mlaki.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary, Kisumu on Friday 25th October 2019 at 3.00pm for an overnight stay at her residence in Milimani and burial will take place on Sunday 27th October, 2019 at Osika Village, Kamser Homa Bay County from 10.00am.
