It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the promotion to glory of Esther Bochere Nyangwono of Ritembu, Magena, Kisii on 24th December 2022, after prolonged illness bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Girishon Nyachuma, the late Elizabeth Nyabonyi and Yunuke of Nyabitunwa, Bomachonge Borabu. Daughter in law to the late Arumba Onchieku, Sibia Mwango and Nyaboke.

Cherished wife of the late Gilbert Nyang’wono Arumba. Co-wife of the late Sarah Nyanchera and Naomi Moraa.
Loving mother to Carren Kwamboka, Norah Moraa (USA), Gladys, Esinah, Eric Nyangwono (USA), Joseck, Albert Nyangwono (USA), and Bernard. Step-mother to Gideon, Susan, Paul, Rose, Sarah, Peter, Edward, Fred, Joseph and Ann.

Mother-in-law to Festus Omariba, Janepher Nyambeki, Bernard Oiriga, Ednah, Evaline and others.

Sister to the late Joseck, the late Birita, Jerusa, Sibia, Malkia, Mongare and the late Joel.

Sister-in-law to the late Nyangena, the late Ruth Abuga, Kerubo Nyabayo, Rebbecca Elkanah, John Arumba, Alice Tinega, Robert Arumba, Peter Arumba, Mary Arumba, Abel, Moraa, Onchieku,Alex, Sarah, Rodah, Grace, Carol, the late Kemuma, the late Mary, Josephine, Jane, Mogoi and Florence. In-law to Isaac Anyieni, the late Mangera Ogetii, Ongera Michieka, the late Nkoitoi OleSunyai, and James OleKipaki.

Grandmother of Caroline, Irene, Effy, Diana, David, Collins, Wendy, Sandra, Flavin, Esthers, Osoro, Onsongo, Kamau,Valerie, Brandon, Shawna, Erica, Emery, Eric Jnr, Angel, Kimberly and many more. Great grandmother to Mark, Milan, and Ivan. Esther was a treasured cousin, aunt and friend to many, and will be fondly remembered and missed dearly.

The cortege leaves Hema Hospital Mortuary, Kisii, on 5th January 2023 for overnight vigil at her home in Ritembu, Boochi. Burial ceremony to take place on 6th January 2023 at Ichuni Primary School, Magena, followed by internment at her home.
