Esther Muringo Kamau

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Esther Muringo Kamau on 2nd January 2023.

Daughter of the late Johnstone Wachira & the late Penina Kagure Wachira. Wife of the late Francis Kamau Gathekia. Mother of Anne Kagure (Nairobi), Caroline Wamuyu (Nairobi), Anthony Gathekia (Karatina), David Kinyua (Nairobi), John Kabuga (Sawa Sawa Africa) and Purity Kamau (Nairobi).

Sister of the late Ngatia Wachira, the late James Wamae, Rose Mumbi, the late John Kariithi, Anne Njoki, Joseph Gichini and Eunice Nyawira.

Mother-in-law of Boniface Muriuki (Schneider Electric). Grandmother of Roy Wainaina, Ryan Kamau, Ashley Mumbi, Sheena Muringo and Austin Kamau.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kiaigi Village Karatina and at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi on Friday 6th January 2023 at 5.30pm and on Monday 9th January 2023 at 5.30pm.

The cortege leaves Jamii Nursing and Funeral Home Karatina, on Wednesday 11th January 2023 at 9.00 am for a funeral service at Gaturiri PCEA church which will start at 10.00am and thereafter burial at her home Kiaigi Village, Karindundu sub-location in Karatina on the same day.
