Eunice Wairimu Maina (Wakabuki)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Eunice Wairimu Maina (Wakabuki), which occurred on I 8th January, 2023.

Eunice was born in 1921 in, Ithe Kahuno – Njiku in Kairi Sub-location, Kamacharia Location, Kamacharia Division, Mathioya Sub-county in Murang’a County to Kabuki Mukabi and Njoki Kabuki. She was a sister to Mwangi Kabuki, Ndithuru Kabuki, Wathithi Kabuki and Muithuri Kabuki.

She was the wife to the late James Maina Njakwe of Karnacharia Village. She was blessed with nine children namely Hon. Francis Njakwe Maina (former Mathioya M.P), John Karuere, Grace Wanjiku Mutahi, the late Jane Njoki Karuga, Julius Kabuki, Ephantus Mukabi, Hon. Eng. James Wahome Maina, Stanley Muithuri and Esther Wangari Ngigi.

She was blessed to be the mother-in-law to FlorenceWanjiru Njakwe, Sarah Wambui Njakwe, Charity Muthoni Karuere, Watson Mutahi Mwangi, John Karuga, Sarah Maua Kabuki, Yvonne Muthoni Wahome, Stella Muithuri and Simon Ngigi. Eunice had many doting grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Montezuma-Monalisa Mortuary at Kabati on Saturday the 28th January, 2023 at 8.00am. The funeral service will take place on the same day from 11.00am at Kamacharia Secondary School grounds. Thereafter, the burial will be held at her home in Kamacharia (next to Kamacharia Secondary).
