Evans Mong’are Nyakang’o

It is with great sadness that we announce the demise of Evans Mong’are Nyakanglo, Deputy Commissioner -Domestic Taxes, North of Nairobi Station, KRA, which occurred on the morning of Monday, 10th July 2023 at Nairobi Hospital following a long illness bravely borne.

Evans is survived by his wife Debrah Moraa Nyakang’o (NYS) and daughters Abbie & Lulu.

Son to the late Joel Maina Nyakango & the late Mama Priscah Nyakerario of Makairo Village, West Mugirango, Nyamira County. Son-in-law to Mzee Ezra Omwansa and Eunice Magoma Omwansa of Nyamemiso, Kitutu Masaba, Nyamira County.

Brother to the late Samuel Abuga, the late Mary Makori, David Nyakango, the late Andrew Omwega, late Ben Ongera, Wilkister Kerubo, and the late Grace Moraa.

Brother-in-law to Yunes Abuga (Migori), Late Samuel Makori Nyaboga, Dr. Margaret Nyakango (COB), Dr. Jane B Nyakango (KNCPC), Cleophas Ong’uti (Nyachogochogo, Nyamira), Cyrus Barongo (NBK), Enock Omwansa (KRA), and Edwin Mandere (Nairobi). Cousin. Uncle & Friend to many.

Friends & relatives are meeting daily at the Mong’are Home, Exeter Apartments, along Muthangari Road in Lavington for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A church service will be held on Wednesday 19th July 2023 at Lavington SDA Church on Vanga Road from 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 20th July,2023 for his rural home in Matutu, Borabu, Nyamira County where there will be an overnight vigil. The burial will be held on Friday 21st July, 2023.
