FCPA Hon. Henry Onyancha Obwocha, EGH

We join family and friends in mourning the death of the Privatization Commission Chairman. Hon. Henry Onyancha Obwocha, who passed away on 3rd August 2018.

He was the son of the Late Mzee Jeremiah Obwocha Nyabuto and the Late Mama Paulina Mandere Bw’Ochwang’i. He was the beloved husband of Dolline Mokeira Onyancha and father to Collins Nyabuto (USA), Edwin Ondari (USA), Charlene Kemunto and Salina Kwamboka.

Hon. Obwocha was a great and dignified leader- whose devotion and passion for the implementation of the Privatization Programme was unwavering. He demonstrated knowledge and wisdom in unlocking the challenges we were facing as he was good at navigating the political angle, which is key in a privatization setting.

There will be a Requiem Mass on Wednesday 15th August 2018 at the Holy Family Basilica starting at 10.00am.

The burial ceremony will be held at Sironga Ekerubo on Friday, 17th August 2018 followed by a private final burial rites at his Igenaitambe home.

Hon. Obwocha has left a legacy that will be felt by all whose lives he touched and his brilliance and contribution to nation-building will be missed by all.

May God give his family the strength and fortitude to bear this tragic loss.
