Felistas Apiyo Omengo

It is with sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mama Felistas Apiyo Omengo of Ugolwe Ugenya Siaya County, which occurred on Wednesday 11th September, 2019, at Akidiva Hospital in Migori.

The first born daughter of the late Sylvester Weda and Ludwina Aliwa of UgolweVillage in Ugenya Siaya County. Wife of the late RamanusWanjero Omengo of Gem Miro. Mother of Gregorious, Protus, Marikus, Vincent, Florence and the late George, Rosemary and Jackline. Sister of Lucas Ayuko, Maria, Ursula,Anne and the late Simon Otieno Weda. Sister-in-law of Loisa Ayuko and the late Mary Simon and Seraphine Ayuko. Mother-in-law of Patrick Omune of Gem Dudi, Catherine, Margaret and Rose. Aunt of Weda Welton, John, Ken, Emilly, Erastus, Vincent, Margaret, Teresa, Paul and the late Michael, Regina, Christine and Jane. She has left behind 20 grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting at her home in Sigiria Oyani Uriri constituency, Migori County daily from 6.30pm for prayers and burial preparations.

The cortege will leave Akidiva Hospital Mortuary on Friday 20th September, 2019 at 2.00pm and the burial on Saturday 21st September at 3.00pm at her home in Sigiria Oyani.
