It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved mum Felister Mumbi Gakomo (Mwalimu).

Loving wife of the late Henry Gakomo Matu. Daughter of the late Benson Kabugi and the late Elizabeth Muchiru. Mother of Patrick Matu, Lucy Muita, Benson Kabugi, Elizabeth Wanjiru, Margaret Nyawira, Christine Wandia, Simon Njagi. Mother-in-law of Mary Matu, Johnah Muita, Jecinta Kabugi, S/sgt Abet Njue, Valarie Njagi. Grandmother of Louis, Epphy, Wangui, Esther, Kabuya, Agnes, Rossie, Hillary, Mumbi, Anthony, Terry, Alex, Ronnie, Samantha, Ashley, Elivis, Ruby. Great grandmother of Max, Mark, Arnold & Janette.

Sister of the late Gachara, the late Munyuthe, the late Wangai, Gichuki, Wandia, Wamuyu, Miano and Wamara. Step Sister of Mumbi Wanjau, Rtd Brig. Kabugi, Wakonyo, Wamaitha, Njeri, Wanjku, Muthoni, Mureithi, Gachigia, Wamuyu, Gichuki, Turu, the late Ndegwa and the late Wairimu. Sister-in-law of the late Njagi, Nyawira, Wangu, Wambui, Isaac Machira and Mumbi. Cousin and aunt of many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements in Nairobi at Tumaini House 6th floor, Moi Avenue, behind Kencom from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and at her home Warazo jet, Kabaru location Nyeri county.

The cortege leaves Jamii Funeral Home, Karatina on Friday 20/4/2018 at 9:00AM.

Burial ceremony will take place at Kabaru, Warazo Jet starting from 11.00am.
