Festus Riungu Matiiri

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr. Festus Riungu Matiiri, former Principal of Kibirichia Boys’ High School, Meru which occurred on 4th August, 2018 at the Mater Hospital.

Son of the late Hezekiah Matiiri and the late Pityness Ukima. Husband of Consolata Mugure, formally a TAC Tutor in the former Larger Meru. Father of Rose Kagendo (Real Africa Safaris), Lydiah Riungu, (Kilimani Primary School, Isiolo), James Mwenda, Kenneth Kithinji, Patrick Gitonga, and the late Charles Karani. Father-in-law of David Mungai (Real Africa Safaris) and Joy Kagwiria. Grand-father of Sally Yvonne, Ian Mngolia, Shawn Dylane, Ryan Mugambi, Prudence Nkirote, Fiona Kanana, Natasha Kathure, Barack Mutuma, Collins Mutuma and Gatwiri. He was uncle to many.

Burial will take place on 14th August, 2018 at his home in Nyweri Village, Meru.

Relatives and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements starting today Wednesday the 8th, tomorrow Thursday 9th and Friday 106. 2018, at the All Saints Cathedral Kindergarten from 5.30pm, and at his home in Nyweri Village, Meru.

There will be a fund raiser to offset a huge hospital bill on Thursday, 9th August. 2018.
