Florence Ann Njeri Wanjihia

With heavy hearts we announce the death of our beloved Florence Ann Njeri Wanjihia on 2nd September 2023.

Florence leaves behind her loving husband John Wanjihia Maina, her treasured children, Cynthia Njoki (Co-op Bank Ridgeways), Elsie Wangui (KCA University) and Ted Maina (USIU).

She was a daughter to the late James Kinyanjui Mwaura and the late Ruth Wangui of Upper Gathanji, Githunguri in Kiambu County and is a daughter-in-law to Mrs. Martha Njoki Silas of Githumu, Muranga.

She was a greatly loved sibling to William Kungu, Samuel Gitimu (USA), Peter Mbugua, David Njeru, Susan Ng’endo (USA), Andrew Ng’ethe (UAE), Solomon Kamiti, Charles Wango and her eldest brother the late John Mwaura,.

She is a sister-in-law to Irene Marubu, Richard Kanyiri, David Maina (USA), Joseph Muchiru and Beckie Maina.

Prayers and funeral arrangements are ongoing at her home in Thome Estate.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 6′ September 2023 at 5:00pm at P.C.E.A Gateway Church Thome.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital Funeral Home on Friday, 8th September 2023 at 8:00am. She will be laid to rest on the same day an the family home Muigariua Village, Githumu, Murang’a County where the Funeral service will begin at 11.00am.
