Fr. Conor Molony

(1936-2019)

St. Patrick’s Missionary Society regrets to announce the death of Fr. Conor Molony in Ireland on 5th September 2019.

Conor was ordained in 1962 and his first missionary appointment was to the Diocese of Eldoret. He ministered in Lodwar before taking up appointments in Holy Rosary Parish, Nakuru, Mother of Apostles, Matunda, St. Simon and Jude Parish, Longonot and Holy Cross Parish, Nakuru. From 1988 to 1993 Fr Conor was part of the Society’s promotion team in the USA.

Fr Conor returned to Kenya in 1993 and opened St. Michael’s Parish, Kiamaina in the Diocese of Nakuru. This was to be his home for the remaining years of his life.

Burial of Fr Conor takes place in the Society Cemetery, Kiltegan, Ireland on Sunday, September 8th, 2019.

Thanksgiving Mass for his life will be held on Monday, September 9th, 2019 in St Michael’s Parish, Kiamaina at 11.00am.
