It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Francis Gakunju Waweru, that occurred on 1st July, 2022.

Son to the late Timothy Gakunju and the late Gladys Wanjiku. Step-son to Mary Wacuka Gakunju. Husband to Jane Wanjiku Waweru, loving father to Timothy Gakunju Waweru, Fredrick Mbugua Waweru Ministry of Industrialization and Robert Njogu Waweru of Darlalee Properties Limited. Father-in-law to Valentine Wamaitha, Cicilia Wanjiku, Rachael Wanjiku of Prime Butchery and Jenifer Nduta of Javanis Kitchen.

He was a son-in-law to Garison Mbugua and Grace Wambui.

Grandfather to Lewis Waweru, Justin Murigu, Felix Mbugua, Elizabeth Njoki, Joel Kamau, Vanita Wanjiku, Keith Waweru (Franko), Venessa Wairimu,Angel Wanjiku and Frank Mbugua.

Brother to the late Jeremiah Ngugi, the late Zackariah Kimemia, the late Maritha Njeri, the late Simon Mwotto, the late Solomon Gitiha, the late Sammy Ngoru and the late James Chege.

Brother in law to Grace Njeri, the late Njoki, David Njogu, Susan Mwembu, MaryWanja and George Kariuki Half-brother, uncle, friend and mentor to many.

Friends and family are meeting on Wednesday 6th July 2022 at Royal Gardenia Gardens (Evergreen Centre Kiambu Road) starting 5:00pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Funeral Home (use the gate along the Northern Bypass between Kahawa West Roundabout and Membly Roundabout) on Friday 8th July 2022 at 9:00am thereafter burial service and interment will be at Karembu, Gatundu South.
