Francis Njogu Mathenge

It is with deep sorrow, and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Francis Njogu Mathenge, that occurred after a long illness on Tuesday 6th September, 2022.

He was the son of the late Mathenge wa Kibura and late RahabWangui Mathenge and Leah Nyambura Mathenge. Son-in-law to the late Aristophle Gutu and the late Bilha Gutu.

He was the husband to Juke Nyawira Mathenge. Father to Jane Kui Mathenge and Munene Mathenge. Father-in-law to Elly Roimen Mathenge. Grandfather to Chase Njogu Mathenge and Sanaa Nyawira Mathenge.

Brother to the late Munyua Mathenge, the late Daniel Kabukuru Mathenge, the late Sarah Wairimu Kange, Elizabeth Muthoni Gacheche, the late Bilha Muthoni Muchangi, the late Isaiah Mwai Mathenge, the late Ben Ngare Mathenge, the late Miriam Nyathogora Ichang’i, the late Symon Nyaga Mathenge, the late Esther Wairimu Mathenge, the late Andrea Marathi Mathenge, the late Mary Nyathogora Waruingi, the late Silas Marathi Mathenge, the late Anna Nyokabi Ngure, and the late Margaret Gathoni Mwaura. He was a cousin, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many.

A memorial service for the celebration of his life will be held on Friday 16 September, 2022 at 2.00pm at the Consolata Shrine Church on Waiyaki Way, Westlands.
