Francis Waweru Mwaura

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the graceful passage of Francis Waweru Mwaura, the Deputy Director, Standards Development and Enforcement at the ICT Authority (IOTA) on 22nd August 2022 at M.P. Shah Hospital Nairobi, while undergoing treatment.

Son of the late Stephano Mwaura Thotho and Teresia Njeri Mwaura of Nguka Village – Mwea East Sub-county Kirinyaga County. Beloved husband to Kezziah Faith Njeri of Ministry of Lands & Physical Planning, Nairobi. Father to Stephen Mwaura Waweru (Techmata}, Dennis Kimani Waweru (UoN) and Timothy Mithiga Waweru (Nairobi School).

Brother to Pauline Wambui Ng’ang’a, Esther Nyambura Kimemia, Ann Wanjiku Kariuki, James Ngaruiya Mwaura, Elizabeth Wangari Waweru, John Kiarie Mwaura and Kevin Ndegwa Mwaura.

Son-in-law to Keziah Wangari Kirnani• Brother-in law to James Kimani and Eunice Waithira. He is a step brother, an uncle, a grandfather to many and a great-grandfather to one.

Friends and family are meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday 25th, Friday 26th and Monday 29th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm; and at his home in South C on Saturday 27th August, and Sunday, 28th August 2022.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati along Thika Road at 7.30am on Tuesday, 30th August, 2022 followed by a funeral service and burial at his farm in Kandongu village, Mwea-East Location, Kirinyaga County, starting from 10:00 am.
