Gabriel Kariuki Mwangi (Kibuthu)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Gabriel Kariuki Mwangi (Kibuthu), on 10th May, 2023.

Son of the late Joseph Mwangi Kibuthu and Loise Wambui Mwangi. Son-in-law to the late Gichinga Kanyugi and Agnes Wanjiru Kanyugi.

Husband to Nancy Wangui Kariuki. Blessed with and raised: Loise Wambui Kariuki, Agnes Kariuki, Jane Kariuki, Dr. Mercy Kariuki, Michael Gichinga, Chris Mwangi and Eric Mugambi. Brother to Teresia Wangari, Jane Muthoni, Grace Nyambura, Peter Maina & the late Lucy Wangari.

Brother-in-law to Jane Gichungu, Catherine Nyambura and the late Peter Mwangi. Grandfather to Jayson, Jayden, Justin, Jaimie and Kareem. Uncle, friend and mentor to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting both in Nairobi at his home in Prudential Estate, next to BuruBuru Police station and his rural home in Othaya for prayers and burial preparations.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday 14th May, 2023 at PCEA – Kariobangi South Church at 3.30pm.

The cortege will depart from Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday, 16th May, 2023 at 7.00am. The service and the burial will be at Kiruga Village, Itemeini Sub-location, Karima Location, Othaya Nyeri County.
