It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of George Gatere Bari, which occurred on 19th November, 2022. Formerly of NSIS and Chief Security Officer at JKUAT.

Son of the late Peter Bari and the late Lydia Wanjiku. Husband to Sophia Wangui Gatere Brother to the late Wangechi, the late Wangari, the late Gachambi, the late Kahiato and Thiongo. Father to Simon & Esther Bari, Lydia & Nicodemus Wahome, Patrick & Lilian Muriithi, Peris,Anne & Nickson Mutwa. Grandfather to Faith, Isaac, Emmanuel, Gatere, Joy, Nathan, Kamuyu, Levi, Zawadi and Abigail. Great-grandfather to Ivanna Wanjiku.

Family, relatives and friends are meetings daily at All Saints Cathedral , Nairobi and in Othaya, Mahiga Location, Gaturuturu, Sub-location, close to Gitugi Tea Factory, from 5.30pm.

The Funeral cortege will depart Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Kabati on 29th November 2022 at 8.00am. The funeral service will be held at PCEA Happy Church (Ndunyu, Othaya), on the same day followed by the interment at his farm in Muhito, Mahiga Location, Gaturuturu Sub-location, Othaya Constituency, Nyeri County.
