It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Mauti Ogaro aka George Best, Bwana D.O. which occurred on Sunday, 16/04/2023.

Son of the late Mzee William Ogaro Okondo and Mama Catherine Bochere of Nyaramba village, Bogetenga Sub-location, South Mugirango Central Location, Gucha South Sub-County, Kisii County. Step-son to the late Mama Hellen Bitutu and Mama Perpetua Moraa.

Father to Morris Mutuma Ogaro. Brother to Agnes, Dr. Ogaro (Eldoret), Joseph Ogaro (Premium – Kisii), Mary, Sophia, Peris, Rhodah (Arya Parklands High Sch), Ruth, Samuel, John (USA), Isaiah, Gladys (Alupe University), Damaris, Mary Nyanduko, Zipporah, Dennis (Australia), Rose, Alexander, Divinah (USA) and Lilian.

Brother-in-law to Sarah (Eldoret), Rose (USA), Nancy, Rose, Fridah, Irene, Jane (Australia), Ezekiel, Kepha Nyamongo, Obunga, the late Odipo, among others.

Uncle to Shem (USA), Omae, Gloria, Julius, Kevin (Canada), Brenda, Christine, Neldah Nyamokami, Okeno, Robin, Patrick, Joy, Keith, Mercy, Sandra, Emanuel, among others.

Nephew to Charles Miruka, John, the late Mwanchi, Kerubo, Maria, the late Oino, Mokono, Omete, Salome, Ondari, Julius, Milka, Eunice, Lucia, among others.

Cousin to Omani, Chrisantus, Mellen,Abobo, Lenon, Maureen, Kings, Dominic, Justus, Ong’indi, among others. Funeral arrangements are ongoing at his home in Nyamarambe.

The cortege leaves Tabaka Mission Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday, 25/04/2023 for a requiem mass at St. Camillus Catholic Church – yamarambe, thereafter to his home for an overnight vigil. The Funeral service shall take place at Nyamarambe Stadium on Wednesday, 26/04/2023 from 10.00am, followed by interment at the home.
