George Odhiambo Bodo

1985 – 2023

It is with deep regret that the family of George Bodo, announces his untimely demise, which occurred on Saturday, 19th August, 2023 at Mater Hospital after a long battle with illness.

George is survived by his dear wife, Agnes Kabiru and children: Jeremy Odhiambo, Joan Modi, Pam Nyambura and Michael Oiowi.

He was the first-born son of Thomas Owino and Pamela Awino Bodo.

Grandchild of Mama Margaret Atieno Bodo and the late Joseph Anthony Bodo. Dominic Rudha, his grandfather’s cousin then became a strong father figure to George.

He was a brother to Francis Bodo, Joyce Adega, Jane Atieno, Derrick Owino, Sophia Achieng and Shebby Adhiambo.

He was a nephew to the late Anthony Onyango, Dan Bodo, Hellen Achieng, Roslyne Auma, Monica Omuga, Omondi,William Genga, Silas Owiti Ojowi, Vitalis Ojowi and Ayugi Ojowi.

George was a son-in-law to Daniel Kabiru and Lucy Kabiru, and brother-in-law to Alex Kabiru, Gertrude Njeri, Diana Wanjiku, Angela Wambui, Jacqueline Mwihaki, Goretti Wairimu and Bernadette Wanjiru. He was a cousin and friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his residence in 87, Kiambu County.

His requiem mass was held on Saturday, 26th August, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church – Lavington.

The cortege leaves Mater Hospital Mortuary on Friday 1st September, 2023 or his rural home, Seme Kolunje village, Miranga in Kisumu County. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, 2nd September, 2023.
