Gerald Wachira Maina

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Gerald Wachira Maina, which occurred on Sunday 8th May 2022, after a short illness. Until his demise, he was an employee of Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) in Nyeri.

Son of the late chief Philip MainaWachira and Margaret Nyambura Karanja. Loving husband of Beatrice Kendi, loving father to Anita Nyambura, Eden Maina and Angel Nkatha.

Brother to Peter Karanja Maina, Jane Wangari Maina and Caroline Njeri Maina. Step-son to Lydia Wanjiru Maina. Step brother to Wachira Chege Maina and Wangari Maina.Son-in-law to the late Samson Maathi Laibuta and Mama Joyce Mukororo Maathi.

Brother-in-law to Pauline Makena, Gerald Mitheu Maingi, Joel Kaihika, Purity Ntinyari, Christopher Muriki, Jeremia Kabuthia and Dancan Mugambi.

The cortege leaves Outspan Hospital Mortuary – Nyeri, on Tuesday 17th May 2022, for church service. Thereafter burial will be held at his father’s farm in Kabati, Githunguri village, Murang’a County.
