Gladys Toywa

Sunrise: 1st March, 1965 – Sunset: 18th May, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Toywa, the Deputy Director of Quality Assurance and Standards at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Kenya. Gladys, a dedicated professional and beloved family member, left us on 18th May, 2023. She was a resident of Kimilili, Bungoma.

Gladys was born to the late Christopher Wasike Nduruchi and the late Rabbecca Khwaka Wasike on 1st March, 1965 and she was the loving wife of George Samson Toywa.

She will be dearly missed as a sister to her late siblings Lena Kuto and Elizabeth Nasimiyu Wasike, as well as Joseph Wasike, Mary Ruth Kitui, Moses Wasike, Dorcas Khamala, David Waswa Wasike, and Tecla Nelima.

Daughter-in-law to the late John Moses Chepkuto and the late Mama Fridah Nasike from Ndareti Mukuyuni.

Gladys leaves behind a legacy as a devoted mother to Sylvia Wema Toywa, Olivia Sifa Toywa, Brunner Ezra Toywa, and Mercy Neema Toywa.

Gladys was a cherished aunt to Tina Kuto,Timothy Kuto,Mercy Wekesa, Collins Kitui, Rose Naliaka Nekesa, Racy Khamala, Hein Simiyu, Favour Waswa, Allan Kui, Salome Barasa, Sammy Juma, Rodgers Wanyonyi, Geoffrey Wafula, Lilian Nyongesa, Eutycus Wanyama, Derrick Simiyu, and Bruce Olekete.

She also had close bonds with her cousins Leonard Nyongesa, Isaac Masinde, Jackline Wanyonyi, Agustus Wekesa,Agnes Chambuni, David Mulati, Deborah Walindi, and Pius Kasili.

Gladys will be remembered as a beloved family member by her in-laws Winnie Agnes Wekesa, Margaret Kasili, Winnie Waswa, Miriam, Dinah, Mark, Luka, Naomi, Beatrice, Eunice Everline and her co-wives Catherine, Florence, and Damaris.

Gladys will be buried on 27th May, 2023 in Kimilili Town, Bungoma County.

Gladys, may you find eternal rest in God’s hands. Though you are no longer with us,  your memory will forever live in our hearts. Rest in peace. You will be deeply missed.
