CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF A DISTINGUISHED POET
Arrival: 11th November 1962 – Departure: 7th September 2022
“You tried to hide forgetting that as a child I used to play hide and seek, I looked for you in religion, in books, in songs and finally here you are in my heart, the place I never thought of looking, I am the one who had chosen to play hide and seek.”
I came into this world as a gift to Johnson and Eileen Wangai. Your mercy and love brought forth my beloved son, Wangai Chasara Muturi. As I grew up, I was molded by very loving uncles and aunties, amongst them both the late Mr and Mrs Wachira Karige and the late Mr Moses Mutonga. Thank you for wonderful siblings, Betty Gikonyo, Muturi Wangai, Ivy Kui, Wambui Njoora and Wangui Kamonde.
It was fun, growing up with my loving cousins, amongst them the late Waigwa Wachira and changing my doting nieces and nephews diapers who have in turn, blessed me with adorable grandchildren, amongst them Tori, Alexy and Ari. What a joy to return to you my creator!
Come celebrate with me that my destination was actually my point of departure, at a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday 15th Sept. at 12: 00noon and thereafter my interment at my family’s home at Lusoi, Kieni East, in Nyeri on Friday 16th Sept. 2022.
Come pray with my folks daily from 4-7pm at Mountain View, Macadamia Court 200.
