It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of the beloved Principal Matunda SA Secondary School Mr. Gregory Wanyonyi Wafula.

Son of the late Dr. Jotham Jackson Wanyonyi and the late Mama Redempta Namaemba (Omukimweyi), Jamine, Femmina, Jacob, Melab, Paul and the late Dinah, Samson and Caleb. Husband of Madam Joan Kikechi Lusweti, Principal Shiduha Secondary School Kakamega. Father-of Constant Barasa Wanyonyi (ICT Kitale), Ivy Kikechi (MMUST), Ian Lusweti Wanyonyi (Kabarak University) and Favour Murunga (Kibabii High School). Grandchild of Kuka Gibson Lusweti.

Brother of Geoffrey, Kennedy, Janet, Jackline, Everlyne, Caroline and Wiseman. Father-in-law of Jennifer Mwikali and Edwin Isaboke. Brother-in-law of Robert, Rodgers, Bernard, John, Bernard, Everlyne, the late Jackline, Linet, Margaret, Patricia, Jemima, Zippy, Jennifer, George, John, Kutete and Nelvin. First cousin of Gloria, Bramwel, Wanyonyi Wafula Humphrey, Musa, Dennis, Violet, Linet and Naliaka.

Uncle of Centrine, Brian, Sheila, Eugene, Maureen, Sheila, Derrick, Bradwell, Lavin, Clinton, Rufinus, Austin, Sheena, Natasha Farell, Nea and Kayla. Grandfather of Novi Nyaboke.

There will be a fundraising on Thursday 22/04/2021.

The cortege leaves Lifecare Bungoma Mortuary on Friday 23/04/2021, for an overnight stay at his home (Misikhu) Bungoma East Sub-county. Burial will take place on Saturday 24/04/2021, at Misikhu.

In greatness he flourished, in a great place he eternally rests. Rest in peace ‘Omwami’.
