Haniel Kahiu Waithaka

 1922 to 21st July 2022

The Kahiu Family is sad to announce the Passing on of our Patriarch Haniel Kahiu Waithaka. He is survived by his dear wife Bessie Wanuri.

He was the son of the late Waithaka Mugambi and the late Wairimu Waithaka. He is the Father of the late Sam Waithaka & the late Elizabeth Wambura, Jimmy & Dr.Wanjiku Kahiu, Jacob & Sylvia Kamau, Dr. Ignatius & Lorraine Gathigi, Jennifer Wairimu, Peter & Mumbi Njenga.

He is the grandfather to Wanuri Waithaka, Wairimu Waithaka, Jason & Njeri Davidson, Haniel & Dr. Nancy Kahiu, Dr. Anthony & Wanuri Gikonyo, Josiah & Axelle Kahiu, Peter & Dr. Josphine Kahiu, Andrew & Wakesho Waruingi, Beth Kamau, Natasha Wanuri, Michelle Mumbi, Daniel Kahiu,Wanuri Makena and Wanuri Jenny.

He was a brother to the late Njeri Njagi, the late Kamori Njomo, the Late Kamau Waithaka, the late Wambura Maina and the late Wanjiru Gachie

He is the great-grandfather to Ciku, Wajii, Anthony, Beverly, Sylvia, Christopher, and Wambura.

He is brother-in-law to Jagi Gakunju amongst other brothers and sisters.

The cortege will leave Nyeri Funeral Home Oustspan Hospital in Nyeri Town at 8:30am on Saturday, 30th July 2022. The Funeral Service will be follow at Kigathi Primary School, in Mukurweini, Nyeri County at 11.00am on Saturday, 30th July 2022 followed by interment at his nearby home.

I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, and have kept the faith.
