Helen Khabwagala Simani

It is with a heavy heart and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to glory of Helen Khabwagala Simani, on Sunday 16th July 2023.

She was the beloved wife of the late Moses Shiverenje Simani. Adoring mother to Nicholas Magotswe Simani, Dr. Philip Likondo Simani, the late Peter Lituachi Simani and Ruth Simani Regau Adiedo.

Daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary Mwaitsi Ngaira, and daughter-in-law of the late Elisha Shiverenje and Reba Bibi Shiverenje. She hailed from Sikong’oVillage, Jeptulu sub-location, Shaviringa Location, Vihiga County.

Sister to the late Benjamin Ngaira, the late Peter Ngaira, the late Sarah Adede, the late Elizabeth Wakhungu, the late Rhoda Standa, the late Priscilla Bulimo, the late Julia Masinde, Jedidah Mandara, Manoah Ngaira, Margaret Kataka, the late Abigail Githunguri, the late Abishaji Khiteyi Ngaira, Prof Milkah Choka and Milla Ngaira.

Sister-in-law to the late Berita Khasoha Ngaira, the late Rachel Ngaira , the late Joseph Adede, the late Frederic Wakhungu, the late Jotham Standa , the late Thomas Bulimo, the late Erastus Masinde,William Kataka, the late Dr. Githunguri, Frank Choka,Andrew Mukulu and the late Bernice Mukulu, the late Hon Seth Lugonzo and Sarah Lugonzo, the late Francis Mwashi and the late Rasoa Mwashi, the late Richard Mwale and Norah Mwale, the late John lgobwa and the late Gladys lgobwa, Samuel Liyai and Zippia Liyai.

She was a cousin and aunty to many who cherished her dearly.

Mother-in-law to Rose Simani, the late Doris Nzuki and Eliud Regau Adiedo.

In-law to the late Hon. Jacob Mwongo and the late Joyce Mwongo, the late Titus Mwangangi Nzuki and the late Esther Chepkorir Kimalel, and the late Godfrey Adiedo and Priscilla Adiedo.

Doting grandmother to Makena and Tito, Shiverenje and Ciku, Khatsini, Ellis, Ndunge and Andrew, Kyppy, Christine and Kruzz, Peter Jr., Shaka, Simani and Stessy. Great grand mother to, Sulwe, Hera, Lwanda, Tshazi, Tshylo, and Pharoah.

Family and friends are meeting at the United Kenya Club Nairobi and at the family home in Sikong’oVillage, Vihiga County.

A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, 25th July 2023 at 10:00 am at Friends Church – Ngong Road to be followed later in the day with a fund raiser to help offset funeral expenses at All Saints Cathedral at 5:00 pm.

The funeral and burial service will be held at the family home, in Sikong’o Village, Jeptulu sub-location, Shaviringa Location,Vihiga County on Saturday 29th July 2023.
